Composed by Rev. Duncan MacDougall, the first Baptist minister who came to Tiree. He was known as Donnchadh MacLùcais. His son Duncan was also a bard and some of his poems can be found in 'Na Bàird Thirisdeach' (Rev. Hector Campbell ed., 1932).
