Summary
In this waulking song a girl is addressed and asked to see if the moon is shining, and what the state of the weather is at the time. Concern is shown for a boat at sea. A list of places which can or cannot be seen from the composer's location at the time follows.
Ranald is then addressed and asked to observe the customs of his grandfather. He is advised to build his big house at the end of the road, where the nobles will gather. Some of them are named.
