Summary - Fairs.

The fair was regarded at the time for settling disputes. There was quite a lot of fighting. Police were not summoned. The fair stopped around the time of the First World War. Sales then took over. The fair was held near Ormaclete. There was another in Benbecula. People came from Lochboisdale, and across from Eriskay. Cattle were swum across the sound. There were tents selling food, clothes, lemonade and sweets etc. The contributor was at the Benbecula fair. There was no fighting.
