People bought sheep's innards and made various puddings, including haggis and both black and white puddings. The contributor remembers his mother and grandmother making haggis. The offal was left hanging over the pot while it boiled. It was never minced, like haggis is today [1977]. It was cut up instead and the sinews were removed. Haggis should not be eaten cold.
