Summary
Problems with asylum seekers in Ireland.
Michelle MacLeod and Ishbel MacLennan discuss the issue of asylum seekers in Ireland. There are fears about them coming in to small communities and swamping local services, and people are unhappy with the political response to the issue. The fact that asylum seekers aren't permitted to work when businesses are struggling to find staff is causing controversy. The system for processing asylum seekers can't cope with the number, which adds to the problem. Some people feel the asylum seekers should be welcomed.
