Summary
The sailor and the lion.
A sailor swam ashore from a warship. He was chased by a shark and a wolf was waiting for him on the shore. He hid under water; the wolf jumped in and the shark ate it. Further inland, he saw a lion with a splinter in its paw. He removed it.
His shipmates came after him. They captured the lion and later caught him. As punishment, he was thrown in a cage with the lion, but it recognised him and licked him all over.
