Summary
Feeing markets held in Killin.
There were two feeing [hiring] markets in Killin, one in May and one in November. Those wanting employment stood in the market-place at the Stewart monument. When a man or girl was hired the farmer gave them a coin to seal the bargain. The feeing markets gradually died out. The only farmservants left are the shepherds.
