Summary

Hedgehogs are a problem in the Western Isles.

Bird numbers in the Western Isles are down and the hedgehog is to blame. Many attempts have been made to keep eggs safe from this predator, but it is proving very difficult. The RSPB now fear the campaign for protecting birds' eggs from the hedgehog in South Uist has not been successful. Peigi Màiri Nicholson talks about the situation.
