Summary
The singer is a baillie promising to tell a true story from near Tarves. He is not a horseman or ploughman but a cattleman. One night he gos to Tarves for a drink and some fun. It all goes wrong and he ends up in court and is fined.
Jimmy MacBeath had the song from Jimmy Craib on whose family's farm at Moss-side in Deskford he was working.
