Summary
Ordnance Survey's policy on spelling of Gaelic place names.
Peadar Morgan explains the work of a committee set up by Ordnance Survey to standardise the spelling of Gaelic place names on their maps. Whilst they hope to apply the same rules to place names all over Scotland, they will also be speaking to groups in local communities to ensure that they are happy with the spelling of place names in their own area.
