Summary
The evil eye and curses.
The contributor thinks the evil eye the lesser evil. He knows of a woman who often cursed people. Once, a woman with whom she fell out with and cursed told the priest. The priest told her not to believe in them, and that the curses would go around in the heavens until they finally fell on the woman herself.
There was a landowner in Druim Mòr who had the evil eye. He didn't do it deliberately, but even his own beasts fell ill if he looked at them.
If someone praised anything belonging to another, the owner said "fliuch do shùil" as a protection against the evil eye.
