Summary

The contributor tells how Clanranald left his daughter on a rock when she fell in love with a servant and became pregnant. She was rescued by the laird of Coll, and became his children's nurse. She did not tell anyone who she was. Later, the laird of Coll invited Clanranald to dinner, and the girl was asked to sing. She sang this song praising Clanranald. Her identity was revealed and she returned home.
