Summary
The lady is courted by nine noblemen and a ploughman. the nobleman decide to fight for her, and she dresses her ploughboy to fight. He sees the nine, and he kills three, three flee, and three he wounds, but her brother stabs him in the back. She finds him in Yarrrow, wraps her hair around him and carries him home, telling her father that she will not marry.
