Summary - Body-snatchers.
A minister's two maids, relations of Kate Ross's grandparents, were going home to Gruids. There was no bridge over Loch Shin then: they crossed by a "clacharan" [stepping stones]. They met a cart and one of them put her hand on it. There was a corpse in it. The body-snatchers chased them and would have killed them. It was terrible in the days of dissecting. There is a little building called "taigh-caithris" [a watch-house], in a graveyard.
