The Crofters' Act of 1886.
It is the centenary of the Crofters' Act 1886. Angus MacLeod talks about the importance of crofting in the Highlands and Islands and the way in which the Act has helped crofters. In his opinion, however, the Act did not come soon enough and had its own deficiencies. Crofting ways have changed a lot down through the years. Among other developments, the formation of the Crofters' Union is a source of great encouragement to Mr MacLeod.
