Summary
The story of the tune 'The sound of the waves against Duntroon'.
A troop of soldiers were ordered to capture a castle and kill all the occupants. The regimental piper had a friend in the castle and didn't want him to be killed, so he played this tune as the soldiers approached, to warn him. (Mr Johnson sings the song). The castle was empty by the time the soldiers arrived. The Commander of the soldiers asked the piper to play the tune again. He then understood what had happened, and cut off the piper's fingers with his sword.
Mr Johnson heard the song and story from his father, who used to play the tune on pipes.
