Hydro cable - Jura/Keills.
The hydro men were always having trouble with the electric cable from Keills to Jura, as the tide chafes the cable against the rocks. Archie MacKechnie thinks it would be much better if they took the cable south round an island called the Carrick, where there are no rocks to wear the cables away.
