Summary - A girl disappeared on trip to Dundee, and another averted being kidnapped.

A girl who went hawking to a big house in Dundee was never seen again, although her mutch [type of cap] was found on a fence. She was a Townsley, the great grandmother of the present generation.

A young girl was asked by a doctor to deliver a letter. When he was out of sight she opened it and found it had instructions for the recipient to hold the bearer till the writer came. She tore up the letter.
