Summary
Story about a feud between the MacLeods and the Morrisons.
Neil MacLeod, Niall Odhar, the bastard uncle of Torquil Dubh, attacked the Morrisons of Ness on the Habost moor, but was defeated. The Morrisons took refuge in Dùn Èisdean. Some time later, the MacLeods returned, and a Morrison was shot with a MacLeod arrow. He died as a result. MacLeod pursued the Morrisons to the Mainland. This is when 'an t-Iorram Niseach', a rowing song, was composed. It is recited here.
