Summary
Fishermen's taboos and things they considered unlucky.
Fishermen believed that certain creatures and people were unlucky, and some would return home if they met any of them, such as a pig, a hare, a left-handed man, a red-haired woman, or a minister. They didn't whistle in the fishing boat. It was unlucky to turn the boat anticlockwise, and there were other things which had to be done clockwise.
