Summary

Three finger rhymes with explanations of the actions for two of them.

Jean Rodger recites the finger rhyme:

There's the lady's forks and knives,
There's the lady's table,
There's the lady's looking-glass,
And there's the baby's cradle.
Rock, Rock, bubbly-jock,
Gie's a piece on treacle.

She explains how to hold the hands and fingers to represent the things mentioned in the rhyme.

Another finger rhyme was 'Nievie, nievie, nick-nack, which hand will ye tak? / The right or the wrang, I'll beguile ye if I can."

She explains the positions of the hands and fingers for:

There's the kirk and there's the steeple.
Open the doors and see the people.
There's the minister going up the stairs,
And there's the minister saying his prayers.
