Summary
A man watching bodies in the church met a supernatural being.
People watching over bodies in the church were being found dead in the morning. A man went one night, lit a fire, and boiled a large pan of water. A stranger appeared at midnight and asked the man his name. He said he was called 'Mi fhèin 's mi fhèin' [myself and myself]. The stranger had hooves and was trying to kick the man with them. He threw the water at them and the stranger screamed. A voice from outside asked the stranger who was with him and he answered, "Mi fhèin 's mi fhèin." This went on until the cock crew in the morning, when the man threw the whole pan of water over the stranger, who disappeared in a ball of fire.
