Summary - Clan MacDougall and the Grey Dog of Meoble: information and story.
A MacDougall was killed by the Grey Dog of Meoble, which is why it is seen on the death of a member of the clan. The victim was the bitch's owner. He was away for a time and when he returned there was no sign of her. They thought she may be on an island in Loch Morar. She had a litter of pups. He went out to the island, but she didn't recognise him and she killed him. This is why the grey dog appears before the funeral of a MacDougall.
