Summary - The advances in health care during the reign of Queen Victoria.

Dr Calum MacRae tells how there were many changes to health care provision while Victoria was queen. Disease was rife amongst the population of the towns and cities, but the situation was improved by Florence Nightingale's insistence on cleanliness in hospitals. There were also advances in such fields as anaesthetics.
