Summary

Donald, son of Finlay, is told by the bard that he was quite correct in praising the MacDonalds and their land. The bard goes on to praise the spirit of the people, and the heroes of the clan. Few in Europe could match them in battle. Sir James MacDonald, Clanranald, and other branches of the MacDonald clan are specifically praised. There are references to the early history of the clan, and some of those who would support them in time of need are named.
