Summary

The bard composes a song for a beautiful girl, even though she is now married. She asks him not to be annoyed about that. If he had not been so poor, he would not have let any other man get her. He describes her beauty, particularly her eyes. He also refers to her sweet singing.

Item Notes

8 quatrains sung. The second of these has been sung twice. There is a chorus at the beginning and end. Single-line choruses are sung after each quatrain. The song was composed by Dr MacLachlan, Rahoy.
