Summary

The bard wishes he could be in Islay where the girl he loves is resident. He will not be happy if she does not return to him. He often dreams that she is with him, and when he wakens he discovers she is not there. Though there are many wealthy girls in Edinburgh, he prefers the beauty and character of the girl he loves, and he wishes to be betrothed to her when the depths of winter are past.
