Summary

The bard thinks of the mountainous place where he spent some time in the sheiling when he was growing up. He remembers the kind women and the old men. He thinks too of the attractive girls who used to tend the cattle. The beauty of the place is described. Now the people and the cattle have gone, and there are sheep there. He hopes that the wheel has turned, and that people will get their rights. The glens will be cultivated again and the Gaels will return.
