Summary

This song is a woman's love song. She sits alone thinking of Donald, who has made her sad. Her parents told her she was silly to love a sailor, but even if she got a wealthy man Donald is special to her. It is over a year since he sailed away. She carries locks of his hair in her pocket and has a framed picture of him. When the young people used to meet, every girl had her eye on him. She is praying to God to protect him. She will be sad if he does not come back to her, but her love for him will never die.
