Summary
This is a love song by a woman in St Kilda, in which she tells of her love for a young Campbell nobleman from Islay. She condemns those who have said that she is pregnant. If she could write to the man in Islay, she would tell him this was not true.

8 quatrains sung. There is a 3-line chorus at the beginning and end of the song. A single line chorus is sung after each quatrain. The song was composed by a St Kilda woman. William Matheson heard the song from several people including his mother and aunt.
