Title - Fir à Nis air an goid agus an reic anns na h-Innseachan.
Contributors - John MacKay
Reporters - Morag MacLeod; Unknown (male)

Summary - Men from Ness kidnapped and sold in the West Indies.

The contributor's great-grandfather was a skipper on a boat that fished out of Galson. The crew was kidnapped one day while out fishing and sold in the West Indies without anyone being aware of what had happened to them. One of the crew married a woman there who promised him that she would help him return to Lewis. He had been married to a woman from Borve before he had been kidnapped and on his return he saw his wife in North Dell. She had married again thinking that her husband had been lost at sea. The fisherman went away without revealing himself and returned to the West Indies.
