Summary
Fishermen's taboos.
Fishermen believed they would not catch any fish if they ate an egg or saw a rabbit before they set out. It was also believed to be bad luck to give water to another boat. One crew member did so, unaware of the belief. An old man who was terribly superstitious got the fright of his life when he found out. He threw a handful of salt on the fire.
