Summary
In this sailing song the poet describes the hardships of life at sea in a sailing vessel, particularly in stormy weather. He praises the skills of the brave island sailors on board. He also tells how he misses the girl he loves, and would rather be back in his own native area. On the ship, he feels as if he is imprisoned.
