2 verses; verse 1 has 4 lines; verse 2 has only 1 line. Composed by Lady Anne Lindsay (1750-1825), melody by William Leeves (1748-1880). The original melody selected by the author was an old Scots tune called 'The Bridegroom Greets (Grat) when the Sun Gaes (Gaed) Doon'.
