Summary
The boy who saw an apparition with one shoe.
A boy was sent to Iochdar for tobacco. On his way back he met a man with one shoe. Shoes were practically unheard of at this time. The boy grew up and married. He had a family. He thought his eldest son was the double of the man he once met with the one shoe. This son drowned whilst fishing, and, when the body is found, he was wearing only one shoe.
