Summary

How Dr Rath Thuath cured MacLeod of Dunvegan.

Dotair Rath Thuath was an excellent doctor, but a heavy drinker. On one occasion, he was asked to see if he could help MacLeod of Dunvegan. Before he started, he asked for some whisky. Then he tied a strong rope to a nail in one of the roof joists. He tied MacLeod to the other end and hung him up by the legs. After some time, he cut the rope, causing MacLeod to land on his head. This method was successful, as the boil which had been growing on MacLeod's head burst, thus relieving him.
