Summary
In 1982 plans were being developed to establish a cultural centre in Stornoway which never came to fruition.
John Murray talks about plans to develop both the inside and outside of Stornoway Town Hall to establish a cultural centre. Plans were prepared and models of the development were built in 1982 which included a theatre, library, museum, art gallery area, radio room and a cafe. Eventually the plans were shelved.
