Summary
The history of crofts in Knockline.
The contributor was born and brought up on the croft on which he lives in Knockline. His father was there before him. The neighbouring croft belonged to the contributor's great-grandfather. The school was built on that croft and it was then too small for the two sons who were going to work it. It was then that the contributor's grandfather bought the present croft from a family, Clann 'ic Lachlainn, who emigrated to Canada.
