Summary

In this love song the bard pleads with Màili, the girl he loves, to return from the Lowlands. His heart is so miserable that he will die. There is no girl like her. Her beautiful fair skin and rosy cheeks are described. He would prefer to be in his grave with her than be with another girl.

Item Notes

Two quatrains and three choruses sung. The song was composed by Evan MacColl, the Lochfyneshire Bard.
