Riddle me, riddle me, rot tot tot,
A wee, wee man in a red, red coat,
Staff in his hand an a bane in his troat,
Riddle me, riddle me, rot tot, tot.
Answer: A fiddle.
A long man legless cam through da door an said: "Guid wife keep in your deuks [ducks], for cats an dogs I care no."
Answer: A worm.
T. A. Robertson comments that these riddles are not very common.
