Summary
Stories about Ossian.
Fragments of stories about Ossian: his body stitched with seven oak needles; hunting pigs; and turning a large stone. Ossian was blind. His son-in-law got a deer once and asked Ossian if he had ever seen one so large. Ossian said he had seen bigger blackbirds' shins. The man threw Ossian's books in the fire. Ossian took his grandson to a place where a big blackbird could be found. The boy pointed the gun and Ossian shot it. They cooked and ate the bird and took its shin bone back to his son-in-law. The contributor recites a fragment of a verse about Ossian.
