Biorachan Beag and Biorachan Mòr went to gather nuts. As Biorachan Mòr gathered them, Biorachan Beag ate them. Biorachan Mòr went to get a stick to beat Biorachan Beag with so that he would only eat a few nuts. "You can't get me," said the stick, "until you get an axe to cut me." The axe wanted a stone to sharpen it. The stone wanted water to wet it. The water wanted a ship to sail it. By the time he got back to Biorachan Beag he had eaten all the nuts.
