Summary
A girl left to drown on a reef.
A young boy resented being told, when a baby girl was born, that she would be his wife. He grew up, left home and became a sea captain. He returned and got permission to take the girl to the mainland to educate her, but he left her stranded on a reef to drown. She was saved by another boat. Eventually, he proposed marriage to her, unaware of her identity. She confronted him on the wedding day, accused him of attempted murder and said that she would have nothing to do with him.
