In this lament, often used as a waulking song, the composer tells of her grief as a result of the drowning of the man she was to marry.

Eight couplets sung. Some of them have been linked. The song is said to have been composed by Annie Campbell of Scalpay. Allan Morrison, the man she loved, drowned in 1786.
