Summary

Rev. Malcolm MacAskill and his family.

The Laird of Coll's daughter married Rev. Malcolm MacAskill, a minister from Skye who lived in Eigg, and they had three sons. There was no one in the west stronger than the boys. Donald trained as a doctor, but became a farmer in Kildonan. Allan was a sea captain. There was a story about him going to a cave on a Pacific island which was guarded by a big woman with nails that were inches long. The cave was full of treasure. He killed the woman when she attacked him, and he and his crew helped themselves to the treasure. Eventually, he retired and bought Calgary estate in Mull.
