Summary
Stanley Robertson's storytelling sources in his family.
Stanley Robertson's granny from Inverness-shire spoke Gaelic, and told stories in Gaelic, but he never knew her. He only picked up the coarse words of Gaelic. Most of his stories come from his MacDonald grandfather. Stanley's father's folk, the Stewarts, told more vulgar stories. Bill Stewart was the great storyteller amongst them. Stanley encourages his children to tell stories.
