Summary
The grey dog of Meoble was seen before the death of the MacDonalds of Morar.
A MacDonald of Morar went to fight in the Napoleonic Wars. His hunting bitch missed him and went across to an island on Loch Morar. She had a litter of pups. The boy returned and went to see the bitch. She was so pleased to see him that she leapt upon him. The litter were now as big as she was and they thought they were fighting. They killed the boy and tore him to pieces. The heartbroken bitch left the island and wandered alone until her death. It was said that from then on, she was always seen before the death of a MacDonald of Morar. The contributor gives two examples of this.
