Summary

Children's rhymes.

All in together this fine weather,
January, February ...
The first, the second, the third ...

Two little dickie birds sat upon a wall,
One named Dick and the other named Paul.
Fly away, Dick, fly away, Paul,
Come back, Dick, come back, Paul.
Two little dickie birds sat upon a wall.

Shirley Temple bought a penny doll,
She washed it, she dried it, and then she let it fall.
She called for the doctor, the doctor couldn't come,
She called for the ambulance, come, come, come.

One, two, three a-learie, I spy Mrs Peary
Sittin on a basket chairie, eatin jeely babies.
One, two, three a-skirtie [contributor corrected by another girl]
Four, five, six a-skirtie, seven, eight, nine a-skirtie,
ten a-skirtie, postman.
One, two, three a-hairy, four, five, six a-hairy,
Seven, eight, nine a-hairy,
Ten a-hairy postman.
One, two, three a-blue-bottlie [sic]
Four, five, six a-blue-bottle ...
[whispered discussion].

"Are you going to golf, sir?"
"No, sir." "Why, sir?"
"Because I've got a cold, sir."
"Where'd you catch the cold, sir?"
"Up the North Pole, sir."
"What was you doing there, sir?"
"Catching polar bears, sir."
"How many did you catch, sir?"
"One, sir, two, sir ...
That's how many I caught, sir."

Mickey Mouse came into the house, I asked him what he wanted.
He clapped his hands and stamped his foot and that was all he wanted.

Dic-dictation, corporation, how many trains are in the station?
Shut your eyes and think. F O U R spells four, and O U T spells out.
