Alasdair Mòr used to stay overnight in the home of the contributor when he was en route home. He and the contributor's father would talk until morning. He was ninety when he died and is buried in Howmore. He was a handsome, strong man in his youth.
The contributor tells how Alasdair Mòr tricked his manager at Ormaclete into thinking that he had got up early one morning for the shepherding, when he had actually just got up.
