Summary

In the first section of this waulking song, the composer tells of climbing a mountain and finding a brown-haired girl. He lifts her in his plaid and takes her away. The lines which follow refer to various clan chiefs. These include MacNeil, MacLeod and MacKinnon. The second section refers to Clan MacNeil of Barra. The composer says that if she had the power, she would share out to them various islands and parts of the west Highlands.
